Single needle tatts hurt more! Mine are all colored, outlined in black in single needle. Once the outline is done, not only is the worst over but your nerves in that area are somewhat numb. Because multiple needles are used for the color (s), it is a sort of big blunt needle making it much less painful.

@_dr_woo_ One myth we should mention straight away is that just because it’s done with a single needle does not mean it will hurt less. Considering how the design will focus more on the outlines rather than the shading, sharp pain is something that's very likely.
