When your parents think tattoos, they might think bikers and punk rockers and, I dunno, people with stereotypically loose morals or whatever (not that bikers and punks ACTUALLY have loose morals).

Tattoos limit a persons opportunities in life because of their negative connotations and associations. 40% of companies will not hire a person with tattoos. One of the biggest reasons why they are negatively stereotyped too, is that they distract from then wearers "presence" and there fore are considered a nuisance.
